Advertising Industry Case
Advertising Industry Cloud-Native Migration Case
An anonymous overseas marketing analytics platform migrated core systems to AWS to reduce operating complexity, modernize MySQL, and establish a repeatable elastic architecture with security planning.
01
Client Background
- The client provides network behavior and marketing trend analysis for overseas markets.
- As the platform needed stronger marketing capability, the underlying system had to move to an AWS environment that was easier to scale.
02
Business Needs
- Reduce system complexity and operational effort while building a repeatable elastic architecture.
- Upgrade MySQL and complete cloud security planning as part of the migration.
03
Architecture Approach
- Different platforms were deployed across multiple VPCs, with Amazon EKS used for managed container services.
- External traffic was routed through DNS, CDN, and Elastic Load Balancing into the EKS Ingress layer.
- Amazon RDS for MySQL delivered the managed database layer.
- Amazon Kinesis wrote application logs into Amazon S3.
- AWS KMS encrypted data, while Amazon CloudWatch and AWS CloudTrail supported monitoring and auditing.
04
Business Value
- Managed container and database services reduced ongoing operational complexity and made the platform model easier to reproduce.
- Created a clearer operating pattern for overseas access paths, log handling, and security governance.
- Combined database modernization with migration delivery so the team avoided repeating foundational changes later.
